My internet connection is an 'air card' with a USB connector.
How do I connect it to my router?

Well short of buying a router with a usb port I suppose you could put it in one computer connected to the router via a wired port, then set it up to allow all other computers to connect to the internet through that computer. Via wireless or wired either one.

I haven't tested the theory no but think of no reason off the top of my head at the moment why it wouldn't work.

Anyone else think of one?

What type of air card or wireless adapter you have? In connecting it to the wireless network, it may vary depending on the network adapter you have.

Have you enabled the wireless security on your wireless router? If yes, it will be needed in connecting it to the router?

Make sure you installed the aircard properly to your computer.

If yes, try to connect look for the wireless icon on your system, tray then right-click it then select the view networks (this varies on type of OS you are using).

When connecting it may ask you for a passwor, enter the password then click connect or OK.

Once connected it may prompt you for a confirmation that you are connected properly to the network.

After that test your connection.

The steps i provided are just general information, not the actual messages on your computer.

This is just a guideline.

hi Peter1000,

Sorry for the late response. I do believe that the "aircard" adapter you are using is not for your current router. You should be using a Wireless-G or N networking adapter to be able to connect your computer to the router using WIFI.

Your adapter is designed for CDMA network or telephone networks (Like Vodaphone, Verizon wireless etc..) and the frequency band on your aircard is different from the frequency used on router (2.4Ghz is commonly used).

I may advice you to get a wireless adapter for your computer, to be able to connect to your router wirelessly.
