Title: Tech Support Disappointment
Post by: Cameraguy on May 09, 2010, 11:41:32 PM
I have tried for several days to implement web filtering on my DIR-628. After two calls to tech support I was informed that "Web Filtering" was not available on my router.

What gives?

I've had good experience with D-Link products for several years, but if this is true, I'm going to be looking for a different router. I do not intend to leave my network open to problems because I cannot block access to certain websites/domains.

What is the make and model of your router?  I know this might sound redundant but I have to make sure.  Some routers, especially low-end units, don't have the advanced features as some other high-end units.  Please reply.

Chefnee:  The original posts was placed in the DIR-628 forum.  The router and make is a Dilink DIR-628 router.

DIR-628 has the feature to block websites, actually... It's on Advanced > Website Filter.
