I bought this router with the intention of upgrading the antennas only to find out the antenna's are NOT REMOVABLE! Epic fail for D-Link!! No mention of this on the box anywhere! >:( >:( >:(
Now I need to know if there is work-around to remove the antenna's or just throw it in the trash and switch brands.

It is listed in the specs here:

It is listed as FIXED antenna.
I would contact D-Liink support and ask them if they might be willing to swap routers for a model that does have detachable antenna: DIR--835, 825, 815, 655 or 628. DGL-4500 as well. Most lower end model 6 Series routers like the 615, 601 and 600 are all fixed.
It's up to perspective users to review, research and get details of products that users are looking at before they buy. Never hurts to contact D-Link sales or come to the forums and ask questions before buying. ::)
