Post by: vertex09 on September 19, 2015, 12:25:40 AM
Hey!

I was looking to buy a dwa-192 today but it seems there is no drivers for Windows 10.  On The support page it says that they should be rdy the 4th but there is none yet and the page hasnt been updated.

Is there any beta drivers i can get?

I see v1.02 B03 listed for 8/4/2015. Do these not work?

I am from eu..

I haven't bought a dwa-192 yet, i was going to buy one yesterday but due to the lack of info on drivers for windows 10,  instead i bought another really cheap adapter. Still looking to get get a dwa-192 but i will use this cheap one for a week until i get fiber. Do the v1.02 work? It says not supported and didnt wanna risk it.

I'll see if I can find some more info. It's fairly new and I don't even have one yet.  ::)

Would be great!

I couldn't find any info about it anywhere since its new. But it seems weird to release it after windows 10 and then dont have any drivers for it...

I am running Windows 10 Pro x64 and I could not get the setup software to run.  Windows 10 was blocking the install for some reason, but I did get the drivers installed and the DWA-192 is working fine.  I just grabbed the latest drivers from the link below.  It has great speeds from my Asus AC68U router.  Very pleased with the little D-Link adapter.  I am running right around 85 down and 15 up.  Streams movies in HD great and no buffer at all from Amazon Instant Video, Netflix or from Plex.

Driver I used to get it up and running.

How did you get the 192 installed? Connected the USB cable then pointed to the extracted .zip file?  ???

well technically, i tried running the install off the disc first, but windows user account control kept blocking the install for some weird reason.  I couldn't even get past the install screen where it says agree/disagree.  i would hit agree and i would get a pop up box stating it was blocked because setup.exe was from an unknown source or something like that.  i forget now.  i could even open the disc and see the files and setup, but the same thing doing it that way also.

i went to the D-Link site and downloaded the "DWA-192_REVA_DRIVERS_1.03.B04_WIN" zip file to my pc from the link in posted in my previous post.  then i plugged the ac adapter into an open usb port on my pc.  i went back to the zip file and opened it up and went into "DWA-192_V1.03b04" folder and clicked on the setup file.  after it installed, the adapter began flashing the blue ring on and off.  the i just went down to the internet access icon by the clock and picked what wifi connection i wanted to use.  it works with my asus router, and the access points i have.  no issues with it other than the install problem with the disc.

you can see here in the picture it is working just fine.
