I updated it says differently for its date

Flash.
Solved those problem but caused my router to lost connection intermittently.
My HW ver A3

My HP printer finally works over the shareport. :) Now if I can get my PS3 to connect over the LAN (currently it will only connect via wireless) I'd really be smiling. I'll try it tomorrow.

Nope even 1.32 final still has issues. It stays connected for a few seconds then goes back to appearing as "available" for shareport.
Looks like its time to look for a new router ;D

"Well judging by the feedback here 1.32 build 03 is more reliable and stable. Yes shareport still has issues and we're working on hammering those issues out.
Being that 1.31 is the latest official firmware and is not as reliable as 1.32build03 we are going to officially release 1.32build03 to the public so people that aren't aware of the forums can get that code. From this point on we should be able to tackle additional issues in 1.32"
Jump ship if you like and I know the Dir 655 has had issues, but thats only because Dlink never shipped it with all the features programmed in. We are the test bed as frustrating as it my be, I really doubt your going to find another router with the same or better features.
The problems are not solved over night, the fixes have to be programmed in.
Look @ how many betas have been released to try to address the issues, Dlink is working on the issues.

yea you're probably right. Or I'll just buy my own printer sounds like a better idea instead of sharing :)

I never like the Idea of sharport with a router, I mean if you want a NAS device buy one, print server buy one.
Besides most OS's have printer sharing..etc..
That stuff is stepping outside the realm of routing (routers).
good luck to ya

Agree, if you demand a lot from these features you really need to consider dedicated equipment. That's basic rule when you buy a router: it needs to perform on the key features. And that's routing.
And for your knowledge, perfectionists out there: there isn't a router out there that's without some issues. Just have a look on the forums. So there will never be a perfect world, also becase there might be an issue with some of the network configs out there.

On the other hand, you could buy a cheap DLink Print Server and have no issues at all. I got one from buy.com on sale for $20 and use it with the DIR-655 and I have never had a single problem, ever. I tried SharePort but very quickly abandoned it as I really did not like relying on individual users to release the resource so someone else could use it.

And if people are using Shareport for merely printer sharing, just buy a new printer that has networking support. It's an ever growing feature these days and will save you the hassle. So when your ink runs out, get a new printer ;D

Ink cost hafe what the printer dose.

It is the same, they only renamed the file.

"Creative versioning", they call it in Taiwan.

If you run a binary comparison on the 1.32b03 vs. the 1.32NA ".bin" files - you'll find that they're 2 totally different files..
They may function the same but they are not the same file.
