Let us know if your getting a 192 or 172 IP address. You can see this on the router as well under Status/Device Info/Wan section.

I would directly connect to the wall, bypassing the router as a test and see if you don't get any issues on the PC. If you don't, as I suspect, it could be the router ATM however if there is a another router online as well, this could be an issue here.

As Harry said, post some logs here if you see this occurrence again, test both wired and wireless to see if both modes are not working.

I have an A2 with v1.21NA loaded and it works well. You should too.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using teamviewer.

I am a maroon! I thought yesterday was Friday so when I checked my router logs I was looking for Thursday and only saw Wednesday and I was like that's odd, no logs for Thursday??   :-[ duh!!! My blonde moment for the week, need sleep. :(

I will have to check tonight and this time I will be looking for the correct day, lol.

Anyway, I logged into my modem last night and confirmed there is no "log tab".  I googled the admin password and came up empty.

I only have one router in use in my household that is connected to my cable modem and its the DGL-4500.

Did you say you had Cox cable and a Cisco modem or was that prior history?  ???

Yeah Cox cable and a Cisco DPQ-3212 modem.  The post that answered all the question is accurate. :P

Maybe we should use teamviewer and see what's going on.  ;)

Yeaaaa, all the DPC line hides the log. I guess Cox loads a config that disables it. ::grumble:: In their defense though, the way the firmware is set up, they can either block almost everything, or give you full admin control. There is not the normal user middle ground. And since they didn't want people messing around with different freq locks on the different channel bands and messing with their traffic management system, they locked it. Thats one story anyway. Others say they had too many reports of people posting logs online with their personal MAC addresses. I don't really buy that, because why just that one modem?

Anyway, yes, if you have someone on the inside, have them check your logs and signal history. Also have them check your street for any trends of the T3 errors. Even if not relevant with your current problem, its good to track down anyway.

Harry,
I sent him an e-mail but I think he maybe on vacay or off because he usually responds by now. I am pretty sure the problem is the router though bet I have been wrong before it has only happened twice, last Wednesday and about two weeks before.

I checked my router logs for around the time the issue occurred and saw nothing out of the ordinary.  All the reports were "block TCP xxxx" over and over and couple times a wireless device connected to the modem, it had the same MAC address so I assume its my Wife's cell phone.

To me I think the router just locks up and freezes for what ever reason. I just need to find out what the trigger is.

Anyway, Anyone know why a certain Phoenix server (Aero VPS LLC) would not show up on speedtest.net?  I check on my work PC and the server is there ready to be pinged but when I go home it is not there?????
