just for testing.  Thanks to it, I know it is not the destination server.

Now, why I cannot connect to it on 31337 but I can on 22, do not know. Tried a MAC, W7 and wget within the NAS. No luck. Others have no issue with port 31377

Simple because of different protocol, in this case port 31337 is listening to HTTP not SSH protocol. What you're doing is probably logging on to his router.

Anyway, I have mirror the files on dropbox in case you still need them. These are meant for ffp-0.5:
