I received an reply from my contact at D-Link USA and they are looking into the source of the link you provided. I'll let you (and everyone) know when I hear back from them.

I received a follow-up response from my contact at D-Link who spoke to the overseas D-Link representative who emailed you. In a nutshell, the firmware link is not intended to be used on hardware used or sold outside of that region.

I've been told that the D-Link USA policy on this matter is to neither promote nor distribute links to firmware posted on non-US D-Link sites, unless the firmware is clearly intended and labeled for US or WW (worldwide) distribution.
