Hi zemops

I've just recently purchased the DNS-320L Revision A3 and I am having exactly the same problem as you and still get the whirring motion on My Dlink and nothing happens. However when I click on the tabs Status & Settings it comes up but nothing on NAS drive except a whirring loading circle on Applications. I upgraded to the latest firmware 1.05, then this really messed things up on the My Dlink site as it says that I have a firewall problem. So I reverted back to the old firmware 1.04 and managed to get thing back again except the NAS drive will not display. I have tried various browsers but I say it is an issue with Dlink not the NAS drive, not unless it is faulty. I can get everything else working ok as with the app on the iphone but just Dlink. I reckon that this is a fault with them not you or I. I know this is getting totally frustrating but haven't really found an answer like you as yet not unless you have.

I never found a solution to this issue. :/

Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that the DNS is a budget model which was ok for a first NAS but will definitvely not recommand to any advanced user.

Did you read this thread?

http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63008.0

Let me know your results please

If it's not the above issue / fix can you confirm Uplayer browser plugin is installed?

Hi zemops

Have read your links and it does sound like Dlink have a problem with this NAS Drive for some reason. Probably not admitting it yet but I have forwarded a ticket to them and will await reply, but I probably will get the same reply back regarding that they are trying to create a firmware fix to sort this issue out. Will wait and see but the thing is that the amount of people who have bought these NAS Drives are not getting any pleasure from them when on the outside when trying to access it from website. Lucky mine is still under warranty and I'm coming to a conclusion that if they haven't  fixed this issue out, then I will gladly return to the place where I bought it to say that there is an issue of not accessing it when outside from home and on the web and therefore not working correctly and should not really sell these units until they actually work via the web as per their advert. It is great on your own network but not on the Dlink website. Dlink certainly are aware of the problem and when this firmware update will be, god knows. I'll keep you posted but so far I'm thinking of getting a refund back & another NAS drive but preferably not Dlink, not unless there is a solution. I also have the latest Uplayer browser plugin installed and also added on IE11 mydlink to the compatibility list.

Hi zemops

Would you believe it I found firmware version 1.05b01 http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62943.0 working on My Dlink website. I think I will stick with this firmware now.

Just noticed another flaw when it comes to downloading direct from web. Doesn't seem to like downloading MP4 files for some reason, others seem to be ok, haven't found any other issues as yet. Will keep you posted.

ducati9981

firmware version 1.05b01 you found (unless they've edited it) will still give errors in access mydlink via browser

If you are in the EU (as Furrynutz said to me that each country has specific firmware) then you'll need the patched firmware from this thread http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63008.msg256637#msg256637 which is firmware DLINK_DNS320L(LW).1.05b01(3.07.0612 (1).2015) that allows you to still access via ignoring the firmware update error.

I agree with you in everything you said (pm sent) and wish my NAS was not out of guarantee

Hi zemops & philphil61

I have had a reply from Dlink and this is what was said as below:-

Regarding the issue that you are having with your NAS on the Mydlink Website, of being unable to access the NAS, this is a known issue and at the moment the software developers are working on a solution in the form of a new firmware for your NAS. At the moment this firmware is not ready, but as soon as it is available, we will notify you.

In the meantime, we would thank you for your patience in this matter, and we will send you the firmware as soon as it is available.

Thank you and kind regards,

D-Link Technical Support.

Hope this helps you guys.

Thanks for the update ducati9981

I'm OK with accessing mydlink website in it's current form) using the patched firmware and procedure as mentioned in this comment http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=63008.msg256637#msg256637

I'm not happy with the change in the web layout (now using the same layout as accessing the server direct where before it was much easier. << maybe this is a reason for the firmware error?
I'm not happy that as you rightly stated some files do not download (externally) via the web (mydlink).

I suppose we'll know more when the updated/fixed firmware becomes available but question in my own mind "who tests these updates?"

Hi

I've just found out that when I click download on a specific MP4 file. It does download, but not in the way it should be by giving me the option to Save As or Open from the browser on IE11. Instead it downloads the whole movie from the NAS drive plays automatically using a Quicktime Plugin from the NAS and then if I right click on my mouse button over the playing video it brings up 3 options and I chose Save As Source to my desktop and the whole MP4 file is already downloaded. Hope this helps guys.

Hi Guys

Another update and appreciate the support and help from Dlink (Thanks guys).

MP4 files are now saving as normal with IE11. Just to let you know if you are experiencing the same problem as I from previous posts, then simply uninstall Quicktime as the plugin interferes with the download process and also acts as a media centre and plays directly until downloaded. When I removed this from my PC, it is now working as it should.

Thumbs up to Dlink support in helping me.
