I just upgraded from my Linksys WRT310N to a DIR-655 B1 to get rid of this problem, and it's still here.
I'm running 2 wired computers off the router. When 1 is online, the connection is great, no lag, no high pings, etc. When my wife jumps on hers at the same time, especially while gaming together, after about 20 minutes we get connection disconnects for about 30 seconds, or massive high pings (999), and then the connection restores itself. After about 10 minutes, this happens over and over again about every 10 minutes.
I'm not a router guru by any means..
I have port forwarded the port used by one game, but no difference. I've set the uplink speed to 1024 Kb on the recommendation of another person, so difference either. Other then upgrading the firmware..I have NOT touched a thing..
There has to be something I'm missing because there are plenty of people that say this router kicks alot of a$$..so why not mine ?
