Yes, correct; my goal was to push a massive amount of data into the unit via USB at this initial point where large volumes of data need to be moved into the 325; once things have been "backed up" (so to speak) into the RAID, then there will be little need to move so much data around and the USB issue no longer presents a problem... ...although the USB back-up feature has proven to be super convenient!!!
Also, side note. (1000 = gigabit ethernet, 100 = NOT gigabit ethernet

* the 325 is 1000
Do any of you know whether or not I can get away with simply upgrading the switch to a 1000 capable unit in order to port high speed data transfer from the laptop wire into and out of the 325?
