Having exactly the same problem here. DIR-825 does not seem to work properly in combination with my docsis 3.0 modem (120Mb down / 10 Mb up). The highest connectionspeed is somewhere around 16 Mb down / 5 Mb up!!
When is use another router (Sitecom WL-308) i've got full speed!
I've had contact with techsupport from D-Link and they admit something is wrong but they can't help it!!??

Suggestion is to buy another router :s....

I am not happy with this situation, it has taken a lot of my costly time to find out that the problem is the router and not the moden from UPC!

D-LINK, i won't buy any of your products again!

Try some adjustments:

    * Set MTU to 1492
    * uncheck/disable "Enable Traffic Shaping"
    * uncheck/disable "Enable DNS Relay"

Is this Rev A? Which f/w are you using?

I also have the same problem with my upgraded ATT DSL service. I was on the 3MB up and 300kbps down. then upgraded to 6MB/s up and 768kbps down. The first couple of days, the transfer speed is excellent in both up and down. Then today, I discover that my upload speed is just really slow only at 100 kbps or so. The download speed is also a bit slow as well at around 4MB/s.

I talked to the ATT guy and they ahve checked the line and speed and said that it's fine.

I spend hours finding the solution. And finally thought about upgrading the firmware. I am still in the 1.00 (thought to myself if it ain't broken, why fix it). Then I though tI will check the forum first. and god I am glad that I did because I find someone else who got the same problem.

I then thought about digging into the router setting and I think I may have found the solution.

In the Advanced and QoS Engine, I found that the "automatic uplink speed" is checked and underneath it, it actually limit the speed to only 120. I disable that check and then manually enter the upload link to 768 and did a quick test. Now I am getting a decent upload speed.

I will hae to do more testing to see if this fix the problem.

Old thread yes I know, but I had to sign up and post that this fixed my problem.

Before my download was "ok" but upload was crawling.

Before (around)
Download 8-16Mb/s
Upload .3-.5Mb/s

Now
Download 27.31Mb/s
Upload 2.69Mb/s

Thank god for this forum and thank you guys for your input. I was about to toss my router out the window.

*Edit - BTW adjusted to 768 was not much better I entered 4x that amount = 3,072.

dir-825 had same issue with upload speed, changed automaticly limit to manual set at 8000, getting 7'ish. No idea how or why it changed after never even going into the router for over a year, I just noticed I could't do MMO games well anymore, all is well, thank you for the help/posts.
