VNC can't see computer names

I had another companies G router and was able to use computer names with VNC to look at other computers in my home.  I have a server running and some kids computers running.  When I replaced my router with a DIR-600 I can't use computer names for VNC anymore.  They aren't found.  I can use IP addresses and it works but computer names don't.  Is there a setting in the D-link router that I need to set to make computer names work on a home network with VNC?

Computer names still work for windows file shares though.
