I seem to be able to use a hard drive plugged on my DIR-655 router with time machine. Using version 3.3.0 of SX Virtual Link (available at: http://www.silexamerica.com/support/software/svl.html), on a DIR-655 with beta firmware 1.32NAbeta09. The backup is still in progress but is not stalling when it was after only a few tens of Mo. I'll report tomorrow when the backup is hopefully done. This will be ~85Go or ~1,000,000 files transferred.
