Tvix 6500 and Dlink DNS-323 NFS setup
Am looking for some assistance in setting up NFS support on my TVIX and Dlink DNS-323. Has anybody have any experience setting up this NAS? I've loaded the NFS addon to the DNS-323 and have tried various different entries to the Tvix network setup to get this to work but when ever I try to access it just seems to time out. Appreciate if anyone could point me to any documentation that might assist me.  I'm also running the latest beta firmware on the DNS-323. Thanks.

I have the same problem. I'm not able to connect TVIX 6500 to DNS-323 via NFS.
I've upgraded the firmware of DNS-323 to 1.08 with the NFS server as add on. One other issue i have with the firmware is when i define the 2 drives as NFS and i reboot the NAS the NFS configuration is changed to Samba configuration. Previous tries with netshare didn't succeed. I think that i'll will go for another NAS for streaming movies to Tvix.

You have to mount with /mnt/HD_a2  name for the first disk instead of  "Volume_1" and  /mnt/HD_b2 fore the second disk instead of "Volume_2" if you don't run with raid this should do the trick

I"ve mounted the drives with /mnt/HD_a2 format but no progression. Once in a while i'm succeed in connecting the drive but after that i'm looking on a empty screen. Connection to the drive seems like the lottery more no connection then connected.

Do you have have to have static IP address on your Tvix and DNS-323. I have give my DNS-323 premisses to my hole net under  NETWORK ACCESS SETTINGS : Host 192.168.XX.XX/24 so that all my machines Can access the DNS-323 and under Permission:Read/write.after that i don't have any problem to access them  ;D

Both DNS-323 and Tvix have static ip. Permission is granted everybody and everything on DNS-323 but no progress. I've a Gigabit connection, D-link Gigaswitch and Linksys WAG320N router.

Try these:

1. Use nfs-tcp instead of just nfs on the share/path on the tvix
2. Add and use *.* on the host input field of the network access of your dns323

Based on those settings your TVIX IP address is 192.168.1.180?

Correct. I've also tried to use the wildcard * as host but nothing changes. Why disappear my NSF configuration after shutdown the NAS ? After rebooting i have samba configuration !
