DCS-920 motion sensitivity problem
« on: January 06, 2010, 10:04:31 AM »

I have 12 DCS-920 cameras set up in various computer labs at a large midwestern university. I have problems with the motion detection sensitivity on most of them. When set to event recording they pretty much sense motion all the time. Lowering the sensitivity to just 1% and frequency to 15% and marking just a few important squares for the motion detection area has done nothing to alleviate it.
Our plan was to record continuously during open hours and then only on motion during closed hours, but this problem is making it pretty much impossible to use them for this.
I already installed D-viewcam 2.04 as was suggested in another post to solve this problem, but it didn't help.

Please let me know how to resolve this.

Thanks

Had the same issue on 920's on 2.03, 2.04 and 2.05. But the new 3.00 version has a much better interface for building up the motion-detection, including simulation to see if it works. And it works fine on my 920's on Windows 7 32-bit...
