Well, clearly, the cable modem still has to be connected to the WAN port of the router!

I have my DNS-321 plugged into my network with a WRT54GL router but in the LAN settings options it only will let me choose auto or 100, NOT 1000MBS? Any Ideas?

Maybe because the WRT54GL is not a gigabit router?
