This process too 1:40 minutes to complete giving me 6MB/sec transfer rate. This rate was sustained. The router showed 50-60Mbps speed for the 5Ghz range.
So 6.68 to 9 MB/second is good? I remember it being faster before I updated my firmware.
My 2.4GHz speed went from bad to terrible now (same room with it) from like 10 MB/second to 3 now. Dropping packets all over the place.
These routers are garbage dude. They are with the firmware they are making us keep.
Well I get those transfer speeds confused ..for example when someone says 300 I am thinking MB/second -- wrong. But I am getting nowhere near 30 MB/second. I used to get about 18 tops with the old 1.12 firmware.
I'm thinking it may be wise for me to try an RMA if they will let me. I may be out of warranty. What was the warranty on this router? Out of warranty and ruined by them - hahaha.
Buffalo has outstanding customer support and it is local for US customers although it is a Japanese company. Linksys I won't go back to with thier horrible support as well.
Christ what a hasssle.
