As a very satisfied DNS-323 user - running FW 1.08b9 right now - I would like to add a proposal for a new application for the box. I think the new application interface (introduced with FW 1.08) is an extremely bright idea and takes the risk of having to deal with funplug / linux kernels / scripting languages and the like from the shoulders of us poor non-unix gurus

The available modules and applications (especially NFS I guess!) are very welcome, but what I really would like to see is an installable application which allows me to schedule backups of all of my data on the DBS-323. I have more than one NAS in use, so what I'm actually thinking of is an app, where I'm able to specify simply "what" kind of data and to "where" this should be backuped - and this could be another NAS box, an external USB harddisk on the DNS-323 USB connector or even another PC within my network.
Right now I cannot implement this without using funplug etc. I really would appreciate becoming independent of this kind of system administration...

Any word from the D-Link developers about a chance of seeing this in future??
