A short while ago a "bug" was discovered causing D-link DIR-655 routers to share the same LAN MAC address and from what it looks like this is caused by a defective firmware (details here:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=10034.msg63334#msg63334).
The exact MAC I got for the two DIR-655 routers I own is 00:03:64:00:01:24. The fact that it's duplicated causes some nasty networking problems

. After searching it seems that 00:03:64:00:01:21, and 00:03:64:00:01:22 are common for D-link routers, and thus it's possible that many of us are sharing the same MAC. According to common sense and D-link's e-mail reply to my support request, MAC addresses should always be unique.
I always buy wifi routers (that are AP capable) in pairs for full wireless coverage, and I've never seen a problem like this with the few brands I had before (not advertising here).
Unlike WAN MAC, which can be easily changed in the config interface, there is no user interface for changing LAN MAC

-- and when one malfunctioning firmware sets it to a non-unique/duplicated one, we are screwed.
So I thought it would be interesting to find out how many of us here are sharing the same address

.
If you don't know what I'm talking about

, simply open
