Well the 1.21 f/w did not help. This morning I was trying to watch an epsiode of heroes on the 360 through netflix and got disconnected twice in a row.

D-link suggested I set my router to N only, but I need G for some of my other devices. I am currently testing N only.

I have to wonder if the firmware issue on MS's side and not d-link's.

Hi,

Looks like you need to tote your 360 over to a friends place with your wireless adapter and test it out there to verify if its your router or your adapter.....

Let us know...

Sammy....You read my mind. I was just thinking about letting a friend use the adapter at his house to see.

At least I know it is not my console since the G adapter works fine on it.

no, not yet. I am testing a few other settings right now.

But I'll tell you what, I am thinking about just going wired to the Xbox and skip all this non sense.

nope can't. but I would look at an intel chipset. Stay away from realtek. they are crap. Look in the business/server market. You'll get the best.

Intel Chipset.

PCI 33Mhz bus - Intel PWLA8391GT
PCI Express x1 - Intel EXPI9301CTBLK

Both work with Vista and Win7 32 bit.  PCI version is hit or miss with 64-bit Windows, but both work well with VMWare ESXi 32 or 64-bit.

Well I ran Cat 6 in my house yesterday and everything is working beautifully. No more wirelss woes for me!!!

Thanks again for all of the help attempting to sort my issues out. Luckily I was able to off load the Xbox N Adapter and apply that to my wired network!

Hi,

Good to hear you got it squared away....wired ethernet is almost always preferred over wireless in my mind...and YES maybe I am oversimplifying it....

On the other sub topic....

Whats the big rip on Realtek based ethernet cards ?  I have used any number of them and they worked fine....nothing flashy, but they worked.  Marvell makes nice chipsets....  NVidia mobo chipsets have decent enough ethernet ports, but some have had driver issues over the years as I recall....

On my win7 pc, The mobo has both a Marvell Gb and an NVidia Gb port....they both work equally well with the DIR-655....
