Has anyone tried it? Is the same as the Beta 3 from the forums? I have seen people have mixed results with the Betas, so anyone have a verdict?

same as beta 3 pretty stable(DNS-relay is fixed!!), but dynamic dns(new problem), mac filtering, and shareport are still an issue.

Well, I updated and since I am only using the DIR-825 as an AP, it seems to be doing the job with 1.13. We'll see how it holds up.

Does it properly show your wireless client status page? This was broken on some of the other betas.  I exchanged the unit for another and left at 1.01 which has been very stable.

As a matter of fact, I am having problems with that, but I wasn't sure yet, I was still tracking it. My DIR-825 is now an AP behind my WNDR-3700. One in the basement and one upstairs for roaming in the house. Same SSID, security etc. In testing the roaming, I turned off the 3700 radio and my IPod touch and Laptop both switched over to the 825, but neither appeared in the wireless client status page. They did show up in the 3700 and the connection was fine. I shut down the devices and saw them removed from the 3700, but I could never get them to show up on the 825 except for the first time I ever did it. I double checked the 3700 wireless was off and even though they connect I do not show them in the 825, just getting IPs from the 3700. Stats on sent and received information seems to populate correctly though. My 825 is setup properly as an AP. At least it is good for something again. I wish I had 1.01, I would never upgrade it.

Oh that's too bad.  From the other betas I remember, it worked until the unit rebooted for the first time.

when you load the new firmware; make sure you load the firmware then do a return to default settings and then setup your router. I found after doing that that most of my problems with 1.13 went away.  Besides doing a weekly restart on my own, I have no problems.

Besides having to pull out my spark plugs and blow on them weekly, my Ford runs great....

I am having the same issue as before when using the new firmware. I'm not sure on the intervals yet. Maybe the events are spaced further out than before, but I have to reset my router because it will disconnect all wireless clients and refuse to connect any more. It has happened twice so far since the release of 1.13NA.

Anyone else still having the same issue?

I have wireless G and wireless N setup.  While the N stays up and is stable, wireless G seems just stop working and requires a power down reset in order for it to work.  This is required about once a week.

I own the Dir-825, hardware version A. When I got the item with firmware 1.01, connections dropped tremendously. I upgraded to firmware 1.11NA so as to solve the problem but this made it even worse. Connections dropped even more and other persons were complaining since they also shared the internet connection via the router. I always had to keep on physically powering off the router and plugging it back on. It got so bad that I installed an electrical switch on the plug that connected the router to an electrical outlet. So instead of pulling out the router's charger and then plugging it back on so as to reboot the router, I could now switch off the power supply.

However it has been a week thus far and I have not had to reset the router. This is of course a world record for me since I had to reset this router every 2 days or so. I'm not sure if it's a fluke or what but I'll tell you what I did. I first saved the router settings to my hard drive. Then I upgraded the router's firmware to version 1.12NA. Then I upgraded to firmware version to 1.13NA right after.I then reloaded the router's settings that I saved on my hard drive. In the advanced tab of the router's webpage I went into the Qos settings. I unticked "Automatic Upload Speed" and I set the manual uplink speed to 360 kbps. My acutal uplink speed is 256 kbps but I just set the uplink a little higher to see what would be the effect. Thus far there has been no ill effect of doing such. In the end the router has not dropped connections or stopped being accessible via it's webpage.
