D-ViewCam v3.0 and RDP
« on: February 03, 2010, 12:30:20 PM »

Hi there! I`ve install D-ViewCam v3.0 on my server, on rdp profile.
When i use remote desktop to connect to this server, i see black screens instead of cams!!The cams status is OK, its connected, but I cant see anything.
When I dont use RDP, it works correct!
The same story with Remote Live Viewer. I connect by rdp to server, then connect with Remote Live Viewer to another comp with D-ViewCam v3.0 on it. Then black screens instead of cams.(((
When its not RDP, it works Fantastic!!! Please help!!

Sounds to me like the RDP refresh rate and video capture does not rhyme with D-ViewCam's way of displaying. Have you tried RealVNC for example to verify that graphics display method is compatible with remote viewing?

Why would you not run Remote Live Viewer directly on your target-box? Adding RDP to the path does not improve performance anyhow as it is screen-capture/remote-display...

The problem with the remote live viewer is that i can only see one camera at a time. It also does not work with RealVNC.

According to ECF the Remote Live Viewer is currently configured for one at a time, but that may change... But does the Remote Live Viewer not have a flip-mode? I cannot recall, as I have not tried that option yet, and documentation is not yet complete...
