DNS-321 WMA problems
« on: February 07, 2010, 07:40:49 PM »

I've got 200GB of lossless WMAs on my freshly installed DNS-321.

I'm attempting to share these to several devices:

Denon 4308ci AV reciever (LAN)
Xbox 360 (WAN)
Vista Media Center / Media Player (LAN)

All have the latest updates and firmware.

I have taken care to properly reboot each device and to refresh the media file directories on the DNS-321

Here are the results:

Denon can see MP3 files only.
Xbox can see MP3 files only.
Media CENTER can see, and play all files, however displays an error message at the beginning of each song, telling me that the file is missing or corrupted..   Wierd.  Also, the album graphics do not appear.
Media PLAYER can see and play the songs, but usually does'nt display album covers ..  it SOMETIMES gives me errors..

I purchased the DNS321 just to share media..  mainly to the denon..  and ANY information to assist me would be helpful..

LOL  Heheh  PRolly just throw it into traffic..   Less shipping that way ;)

Well  after several weeks.. I guess it's official..   DO NOT buy this product if you intend to listen to WMAs on ANY device served from the DNS-321..    You will be wasting your money.
