Although I have a technical background, when it comes to routers and networking...I'm a noob, so pls go easy on me. Here's the problem:
Like everyone else here, I was extremely frustrated with 1.32NA so I eagerly upgraded to 1.33NA. At first, it seemed stable...but now I can pretty much predict when I'll have to reboot: I'll be about 5 minutes into the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 session (Steam) when in-game, super lag occurs, data frames start dropping all over the place, and then I'll see the "Connection to server lost," and later, "Steam connection failed" messages. I have to back out, connect to the router, release/renew, and then start up a new session. All will be okay for the balance of the next session. If I quit playing, start up another session later in the day, the same scenario (release/renew) occurs.
Is there a way to prevent this irritation? I used to have a very stable box running 1.21 - and I'm considering moving back to that release. Anyone have instructions on how to do this?
