photoshop printing problem

I am using a DPR-1260 and HP PSC-1610. Printing from most software (MS Office, some graphics and paint programs such as Serif Photoplus) works fine, BUT whenever I am trying to print from Adobe Photoshop it never prints. The printjob may show up in the queue for a split second, but then vanishes.. nothing ever prints. I tried with Photoshop CS and CS4, always the same result.
Does anyone have any idea / any remedy ????
