Reset and Data

Will i lose data on my 2 volumes if i reset the DNS321 device ?

The official D-Link answer is no, and I've reset both the DNS-321 and DNS-323 with no data loss.

Of course, you should have a backup of any data on the unit anyway...

Just to confirm, reset is done by pressing reset switch while unit is powered on. From your experience, will it keep the volumes as it is ? I am thinking i will need to go the the initial setup wizard again after reset. Please advice.

BTW, have u noticed similar issues with your device, where if the device loses power while in use, its settings get screwed up. I think its not a good idea if this keeps happening.....gonna get a ups soon and avoid this hassle as well

I haven't seen that, but I already have a UPS on all the computers and NAS boxes.  Normally, I'll come up and power things down normally if we lose power before it would drop.
