automatically recover power after a power loss
« on: March 03, 2010, 06:23:54 PM »

I have just purchased a new DNS-321 and one of the main reasons I purchased this unit was that the 1.03 firmware mentions in the release notes.

"6. Unit can now be configured to automatically recover power after a power loss."

I have searched through the menu options and see no setting for this option. The unit came with version 1.02 firware and the unit is also labeled as HW ver A2. I have flashed the unit to 1.03 specifically to obtain this feature as I will be locating this drive in an inconvenient location.

Does anyone know what options I need to set this feature up - or is it an automatic feature?

Thanks!

"6. Unit can now be configured to automatically recover power after a power loss (Rev C1 Only)."

Rev C1 is the only hardware that supports it on 1.03. Release note taken from www.dlink.com/dns-321 > support resource

Ok, since I just purchased this unit a week ago, how can I obtain the DNS-321 HW version C1 as this feature was the reason I purchased this unit?

Thank you

Good luck with that one Ronnie.  The last time I checked HW C1 had not been released yet.

Obviously, there are lots of the older version in the supply chain.
