IPv6 Prefix Delegation
« on: March 11, 2010, 12:13:07 PM »

Hi,

I just installed the 3.12NA on DIR-615 with Hardware Version C1.
I am testing the prefix delegation.
The DIR-615 gets its delegated prefix from the DHCP Server. My PC with dual stack run on Windows XP and succeeds to get its IPv6 address from the router and is in the correct delegated prefix (/64).
The problem I encounter is when I want to ping an IPv6 address in a subnet not directly connected to the router I get a "Route Unreachable" ICMPv6 response from the DIR-615. I think that the DIR-615 may not take into account the IPv6 default gateway it gets from the Router Advertisement.

Has anyone encounter the same problem?
Is there any fix to solve this problem?

Regards,

James

Hi James,

I am seeing the exact same behavior, unfortunately.

I am still testing and will report back if I figure out a workaround.
