How did I create Volume 1_2 ?
« on: March 13, 2010, 01:33:18 PM »

I was trying to solve the, "You require permission from Unix User\root to make changes to this file", when I somehow created the above Volume 1_2. Please can anyone tell me how to remove this new volume?

You can only have one share with the same share name, so when you shared the same resource multiple times, it renamed the duplicate copies.

great thanks, does this mean I had also created the Volume 1_1 in error from day one & I can in fact delete it also without fear of braking the RAID 0?

I was trying to change the R/W permissions (see other thread) when this happened & I would really like to learn how not to do this again if you could tell me were I went wrong?

You can remove any of the shares without affecting the data.

Open the configuration menu, ADVANCED, and Network Access.

The shares are listed at the bottom, just click the trash can symbol for any you want to remove.  Removing them all won't affect your data.
