How do I turn on Security?

I don't have any security turned on on my router (I turned it off briefly to see if I could get my Squeezebox to connect without it - and it could).

But now I can't find out how to turn it back on to stop the neighbours hogging the bandwidth.

How do I turn on security, please?

1. go to http://192.168.0.1
2. Wireless Setup (http://192.168.0.1/bsc_wlan.php)

WPA/WPA2

WPA/WPA2 requires stations to use high grade encryption and authentication.

Cipher Type    : AES
PSK / EAP    : PSK
Network Key :  WHATEVER YOU DESIRE :)

Here is a website https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm that generates unique set of custom, high quality, cryptographic-strength password strings that you can use. Every time you refresh your browser, it generates different keys. Copy one key from the three choices and paste it in the 'Network Key' box.

3. Save and voila, no more intrusion :)

If you have the option set to WPA2-only as it will stoop down to WPA when given the chance. Be ware about WPA/WPA2 compatibility, some vendors somehow do not comply to WPA/WPA2 'standards' and it seems that you ill have intermittend results. Best to stay with one vendor with all your wireless equipment, so as to prevent these breaks.

I never had issues with "WPA/WPA2 compatibility". What do you mean by that?
