300mbps NOT on Windows 7
« on: March 30, 2010, 12:32:41 PM »

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in...using the dwa-130 ver C with dir-655 on a pc with windows 7 I have not found it possible to get more than 150mbps.
I tried every possible way and no way Jose.  I took the DWA-130 and installed it on an XP laptop and it does get 300mbps so obviously its not in the router settings.
After speaking to D link support they concur that the problem is the driver for the DWA-130 not being a windows 7 driver.
The only driver that seems to install the thing on windows 7 is a realtec driver and until d link comes out with their own windows 7 driver I think we are stuck at 150mbps max.
I also tried a competitors USB N adapter that had a windows 7 driver and that connects to the Dir-655 at 300mb also.
Come on Dlink get us some windows 7 drivers!!!
