Fan not running!
« on: April 02, 2010, 12:41:29 PM »

Hi,

the fan of my DNS-323 isn't running. Even at startup. Same Problem in FW 1.7 & 1.8.
Is that normal ? The temp of the system is between 46 and 50 degree celsius.

In my Log file are a few entries like that:

2010/04/02   19:26:22   fan can't rotate, check it please.

Anyone knows what to do ?

If it gets to 50C and the fan doesn't run, it's broken.

I'd say the fan's broken - if I recall correctly, it runs at power up and then shuts down.

Sounds fairly straightfoward to me. Check/replace the fan.

Yery strange. Since yesterday 1:00 the fan is running without problems...the DNS-323 is just 3 days old...

I hope the fan doesn't make problems again. Otherwise I must send it back...

Thx for the answers.
