LED brightness
« on: April 12, 2010, 01:58:04 PM »

Okay, I know this may seem like a dumb question, but is there a way to adjust the brightness of the LEDs on this router? I only ask because the router has to be in my bedroom and the LEDs light the place up at night. I  am hoping there might be a way to dim them or adjust the brightness through settings before I break out the electrical tape.

Thanks  ;D

No way to do this other then replace them with a different color.

Or just go with the simplest solution: Place a stiff coloured piece of plastic of complimentary colour in fron of it. So if green is the colour to block, use a pece of red plastic. Costs nothing and instant results!

Even simpler

Clear "Scotch" tape over LEDs
Use black Sharpee to color the tape
More "Scotch" tape over that.
More black sharpee.

You still see 'em, barely.
And, remove tape, and LEDSare back to their full brightness. :)

Hi,

Don't some places sell a yellow scotch tape ?  or maybe evn other colors that might tone down the LED's...

Personally I don't mind them...saves me from having to use a night lite in this room at night.

Check your local auto store for window tint.

Substitute whatever color you want for the black sharpee. Darker is most likely better.
Just remember your color wheel...
