Hello Karl, I tried it with WMM check and unchecked but did not make a difference.  We'll keep trying.

Been following the thread.
Instead of turning something off, try it leaving on the following, instead of turning it off:
In Advanced:
Firewall Settings: Leaving SPI unchecked.
Advanced Wireless:
Transmit Power: High
WMM Enable: Check it.
Short GI: Check it.
Extra Wireless Protection: Check it.
Wish:
Enable Wish: Check it and the first two options. Leave the third Automatic uncheck.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup: Enable it. Use Pin.
Advanced Network:
Enable UPnP: Check it.
Under Multicast Streams:
Enable Multicast Streams: Check it.

Remember to Save Settings from Wired Computer and Save from each Page.

Click Setup, and then click Network Settings:
Enable DHCP Server: Check it.
DHCP Lease Time: Use 10080 for a 7 Day Lease.
Always broadcast:  Check it.

See what happens.

Also for QOS
Enable Everything, but don't use Rules.

Hi,

I "had" this deathentication problem as well when I was using WPA2 with Windows XP SP2.

I then switched to WPA and no more problem.

A week ago I installed SP3 RTM and tried WPA2 again and no issues at all.

Before SP3 the connection would drop about every 60 seconds or so when using WPA2.

I had the deauthentication problem.  My laptop would be disconnected from the wireless service every few minutes.  I could improve the situation by moving my laptop very close to the router, which improved my signal (%) to 100.

I tried all the tweaks mentioned in this thread (changing the channel width to 20Mhz, unchecking Short GI and/or WMM Enable, changing the Beacon period to 80, etc)  I could sort of convince myself that these things, plus messing with the antennae position,s helped a little, but still had regular disconnects.

Then I tried my daughter's laptop and it worked fine, even with signal (%) of 25 or so!!
Hmmm....  maybe it wasn't the Router's sensitivity to 2.4Ghz interference after all....

Messing with the network adapter settings in the laptop did no good.  So I thought, maybe the latest driver might help.
I went to the Intel website, downloaded and extracted the latest driver and used the Properties > Configure > Driver tab wizard (double click on the wireless icon in your systray) to install the driver.

Bingo!  Rock solid.  I restored all the router settings and still rock solid even with signal (%) of 15 or 20.

With the router settings restored I noticed that my daughter's laptop now got an occasional deauthentication.  I updated her driver also and it now never gets a deauthentication.

Neither laptop has received a even one deauthentication (per the router log) in the last 48 hours.

The network interface in my laptop is a Intel PRO-Wireless 2200BG network connection.
The network interface in my daughter's laptop is a Intel PRO-Wireless 3945ABG network connection.
