I have a weird problem with my DIR-655 and external FTP access. Since I purchased the DIR-655 router, I could not access my websites FTP server either with an FTP client or through a web browser. I thought my ISP (Charter) was blocking port 21 but when I connected my laptop directly to my cable modem, I had no problem at all either with my FTP client (WS_FTP) or through a browser. Did some research via Google and found someone else who had a similar problem and they suggested "cloning my computer's MAC address" in the SETUP page of the DIR-655...after rebooting the router and the cable modem, THAT WORKED!
Problem is, every time I power down the computer and boot back up, I have to go through the same procedure to gain access to my FTP again.
Anybody out there having the same problem or have an idea how to solve this? Also, does anybody know what default MAC address the DIR655 uses in the SETUP page if you don't clone your computer's MAC address? I assume it is the router's MAC address.
Thanks very much in advance to any responses!
