Bridging allows for connecting to 2 different types of Networks, I think what you are talking about is teaming. Teaming is when you use 2 ethernet ports and treat them as 1, taking 2- 1 gig connection and making it into a 2 gig connection. I used to do this with XP and Vista (have a motherboard with dual NICs) but it seems to have been taken out in Windows 7. However, you are only going to notice the teammed effect when doing internal LAN file transfers, you Internet connection is only going to be as fast as the line going out of the house and that is almost always much slower than the speeds you can get Internally.
