Xbox hogging bandwidth
« on: May 06, 2010, 12:22:16 PM »

I have a dir655 connected to:
Desktop via cable and wireless
Laptop via cable and wireless
Laptop via wireless
Xbox via cable.

Trouble is the xbox seems to be hogging all the bandwidth, is there anything I can do to help?
Any help greatly appreciated

Hi,

The Xbox hogging bandwidth doesn't make sense to me.  I have more than one Xbox here and they are often all on at the same time and we see no slowdowns here....

Maybe your internet speed is not giving you what you pay for ?  check your speeds at some place like www.speedtest.net

Do you have QoS enabled in the router ?  If not try enabling it and configure it to lower the Xbox's QoS setting (a higher number than the other PC's you want to have more bandwidth)....

Let us know if you get any improvements...
