Wireless exclusion
« on: May 09, 2010, 03:51:28 PM »

I have a DIR-655 to which are attached a desktop and two laptops, all of which use Windows 7 Pro.  When the laptops are running wired to the router, I can see shared resources on other from any machine.  When I switch to wireless mode on either laptop, the wireless machine no longer sees shared resources on the other machines, yet can see the machine's name.  The only variant between the two states is that one is wireless in the latter case.  Nothing else changes.  I do not see any option that I'm aware of that might possibly be set wrong.  I seem to recall that I could see shared resources from a wireless machine a couple of firmware revisions ago.  Am I not holding my mouth right?  Have I mis-set an option whose name I don't associate with shared resources and wireless connections?  I am perplexed.  Constructive comments are most welcome.

Hi,

Check the setting in the DIR setups for "WLAN Partitions"  if its checked,,,uncheck it...or vice-versa....

Reboot the router after saving...

I "think" that should help fix you up....it did for me, but I had issues with laptops under XP not being able to share media with my XBox360
