Increased Network Traffic with BT Client
« on: May 09, 2010, 07:11:13 PM »

Hi,
I upgraded to firmware 1.08 some time ago and installed the BT clent which I downloaded from the support page. I have noticed that there is a large amount of network traffic when the BT client is enabled from the admin menu. There is also a similar increase in traffic out over the cable modem. The tx/rx lights on the cable modem are normally pretty quiet, but with BT enabled activity lights on the NAS and the cable modem are always flashing. I have no active torrents downloading / uploading and there aren't even any files in the BT folder.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Others have noticed this, there was at least one fairly long thread about it.  Since the BT client was pretty limited, I decided that it wasn't worth tinkering with.
