I have been enjoying wireless router for a while now.  Recently I changed from dsl to comcast cable.  The wireless kept working flawlessly after the change and after I modified the set up.  However one day suddenly the laptops couldn't see it anymore.  They could see every other wireless connection in neighborhood except for my own d-link router.  I decided to hard wire to router to see if I can connect to Internet.  I can.

So the problem seems to be for some reason the router just doesn't have the capability anymore to allow wireless connection.

I did lot of trials - such as making sure the time and date settings of router matched and were updated, making the ssid visible, making it secured, making it unsecured.  Nothing helped.  Also tried my friends laptop...didn't catch it.  Resetted by using the reset button behind the router and did power cycle with modem as well.  Didn't help either.

Has anyone else experienced this?  And what did you do about this?

What a pity! Maybe the wireless unit in your router has a little problem. I don't think this is a issue about software, you'd better check the hardware.

By the way, did you open the wireless feature on your router? Or there is a task plan in your router....
