A question regarding file permissions.
« on: May 19, 2010, 02:28:43 PM »

Hi,

As I understand it, if there are 2 accounts accessing a folder with different accounts (windows file sharing),
there is a tendency for the file(s) to be owned by only one or the other account, hence preventing access from the other account.

If I do a config backup, reset to defaults, and reload the config backup, will it fix the permissions issue?

I rather not mess around with installing 3rd party tools to get telnet and run a chmod every few days ......

Thanks.

I had similar problems I think. This is the only way I found to get my data off and to change the ownership rights.
