Xbox Live COnnection is Lagging??

Ok I just purchased a new DGL 5400. My ISP is Comcast, and I'm running the 16 mbps promo.  I have the router setup and able to browse the internet as well. I can also play on (wired) xbox live. But I am expierencing lag while playing GOW 2. The only configuration that I did was setup my wireless security. Are there any configurations that are needed which I am forgetting? If so can you tell me. Please help
