Have a look at this!

Website Filter Parameters

Website URL/Domain
Enter the URL (address) of the Web Site that you want to allow or deny; for example: google.com.
Do not enter the http:// preceding the URL. Enter the most inclusive domain; for example, select allow and enter dlink.com and access will be permitted to both www.dlink.com and support.dlink.com.

Note: Many web sites construct pages with images and content from other web sites. For example, to access my.yahoo.com, you would need to select allow and type yahoo.com, yimg.com, and doubleclick.net.

Thank you again, I entered deny "facebook.com", and save, I still can access to the site. I was thinking it was a bug in the firmware, but why it does work for somebody.

Compusir:

To deny access to Facebook.com, leave out the .com.

just put facebook, nothing else as the parameter.

So if I put help dot com will it block help, dot or com ??

Is there variation to this ?

Thanks in advance

Did this issue ever get resolve? I have two DIR 655 A4 1.34NA. One I have had for quite a while and one is a recent purchase. My old one apply's web filtering and access control policies perfectly, but the new one I purchased for my sister does not.

I have given up getting this feature of my DIR-655 to work, as it's functionality is in direct contention with voice quality for my VoIP.  I had it working long enough to prove that my Internet traffic was no longer being hi-jacked through the bsecure servers.

It is good to see that someone has a sample of two routers configured by the same person exhibiting different behaviour.  There is clearly some manufacturing quality issues, or new faults introduced presumably by some cost reduction initiative.

I will be replacing my router soon with something other than D-Link.

Do not use web filter, it can not handle high network load, like torrent and the result is reboot or freeze

Website filter works for us here....

Maybe you shouldn't be using torrent for music/movie stealing, oops my bad..I meant Sharing....

Website filtering should work if you set it up properly....  DNS relay, access control, schedule etc....
