No Audio after conversion
« on: June 13, 2010, 02:56:14 PM »

I have ripped some episodes from a DVD to Xvid with mp3 audio but will on only play the video and not audio on my D-link media center, the software I am using to convert is IMTOO DVD Ripper v6, I have 2 other audio codecs I can use in the program that I have tried, mp2 didn't work either but pcm_s16le did but was distorted in some parts, I thought the DSM-750 supported mp3?
My mp3 music plays ok.

Hi ECF, thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I have tried your suggestion changing the Audio Encode Mode from CBR to VBR and I still have no audio, however I can play them ok on my Xbox 360 Media Center.

Any other suggestions ECF? I did contact IMTOO support and they told me to drop the audio bitrate down which made no difference and they advised me it was a D-LINK problem, which is understandable as they play fine on my Xbox 360.
Thanks

Hi ECF, just to shed some light on this problem, I did another conversion from DVD to Xvid and mp3 changing the audio encode mode to VBR and still no audio so I went into the properties of the file and it was still showing up as CBR? so it looks like the file was never changed to VBR.
