Dir-655 & Netgear WNR2000 wireless bridge setup
« on: July 04, 2010, 10:09:00 AM »

Hi all

I have a dir-655 router connected upstairs to the internet via cable modem (main router). I have a SSID set up for all my wireless enabled devices to access internet (WPA2).

I was supplied with a Netgear WNR2000 router which I want to utilise downstairs as a wireless bridge to the dir-655. On the WNR2000 there is a function to act as a Wireless Repeater but it only seems to support WEP encryption.

Is there a way of getting the DIR-655 to have multiple SSID's as I don't want to use WEP encrytion (1 SSID for bridging and 1 for internet browsing)

Anyone got this exact setup working together?

Thanks
