WAN port on this router will not connect at 1000mb.
« on: July 04, 2010, 09:39:43 PM »

I have reported this problem to D-Link for 6 months and this is now a known problem.  If it connects at 1000mb, it throttles my 62mb WAN connection down to 6mb.  I have been waiting on a firmware update to correct the problem.  Still none.  Has anyone seen this problem?  Is D-Link working on this problem?  Is this problem in the A1 version of this router.  I have the B1 version.  If this problem is only in the B1 version, then I have just wasted $160 in buying a Netgear that does connect on the WAN port at 1000mb.  D-Link could replace my B1 with an A1 if that problem isn't in that one.  Help!!

Seems to be a constant problem across all models of the DIR router.  Internet speed are throttled when ever the WAN port speed is set to AUTO.   It happened on my 615 and 628 module.  It has be posted on the other forums here.
