Wireless Printer keeps being "disconnected"
« on: July 20, 2010, 11:59:39 AM »

I have a wireless printer on my network HP C7280.  With previous LinkSys router, no problems.

Since getting the DLink 655 the printer software says the printer is disconnected very often.  The weird thing is I can still print on it, just cannot scan.

After some seeming random series of PC and printer reboots it will connect again for a short while.

I can "see" the device connected in the DLink admin software the whole time.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Eric

I have the same printer. There are two things that might help. First reserve an IP for it, and second try setting the DIR-655 to use a specific wireless channel rather than leaving it on auto.

Also make sure you are using the latest version of the printer software. The first few releases were very buggy.
