Can't upload the latest firmware
« on: July 23, 2010, 12:37:40 AM »

I got a DIR-655 and trying to upgrade to latest firmware.  When I check the Firmware Information, I get:
Current Firmware Version: 1.32NA
Current Firmware Date: 2009/07/09

Interesting enough “Check Online Now for Latest Firmware Version: “ option returns:
This firmware is the latest version.

I have downloaded latest Firmware (DIR655A4_FW134NAb03.bin) from website.  Once upload started, router reports “now uploading. The upload may take up to 1 minute.” and then I get “upload succeeded message”; however, after everything is done, Firmware check reports same old version and securespot issue show backup.  Am I missing something in upload steppes?  I have tried unsuccessfully soft and hard Reboot before and after upload.  Any help?
Kyan.

Save your comfiguration file, then do a Factory Reset from the Routers Admin pages.  After the reset is done, do the flash and then restore your config file.
