Serious DHCP problems F/W 2.00 EU B1
« on: July 26, 2010, 06:42:37 AM »

The DHCP reservation does not work correctly up to the point of locking up and not giving clients any IP's and also issuing IP's that are in the reservation list to other cilents than the one it was reserved for.
ALso the LAN client list does not update properly.

This with the latest available F/W 2.00 Eu B1. Have not tried the previous old F/W.
Also the release date for this F/W is July 2010 on the status page it shows March 2010????

Example: router is configured to reserve 192.168.254.10 for client X
Client Y connects through WIFI and receives IP 192.168.254.10 assigned.
This is crazy .....

I had this DHCP problem on firmware:1.00, currently testing 2:00 so far it's working. Started from fresh without using the config.bin restore...

SO did I not use any config file as I never used any F/W pervious to 2.00. Updated right out of the box a couple of days back.

I remember when I setted up the router first time on firmware 1.00 the DHCP just works, until I rebooted it. Then had to use static I.P on all my devices...

So far with 2.00 it's working, going to leave it on for now.

It works as long as you do not reserve any IP's.

Using 6 DHCP reservation, so far no conflicts.

Will be adding more later on, just testing 6 I.P. for now

Seem after wasting more time that the maximum number of working address reservations is 4.
The DHCP server cracks up after that.

So far 6 is working correctly, had several power cuts. Yet the router manage to assign the correct allocated I.P requested....
